Best Season

Be it the Annapurna Circuit Trek, or Annapurna Base Camp Short Trek, or any other trek in Nepal, March to May and September to November are considered the best time to do the trek. The low altitude areas during March to May is quite warm, however, the upper altitude areas are very pleasant to trek in. Similarly, the lower altitude areas are pleasant during September to November, however, the upper altitude areas aren't too cold to trek; but, the morning and evening can be quite chilly. October is the busiest month of the year that experiences the maximum number of trekkers. You might not like to do this trek in the monsoon season or the winter season. Though trekking in the winter season is possible, it might be miserable.

Not everyone loves trekking in the high season; people often distaste crowd. In that case, you can do the trekking in the favorable season, other than the month of October.

Difficulty

You aren't required to have any athletic body fitness to do this trek; a body capable enough to hike for some hours in the rugged land surface for some days continuously is sufficient to do this trek successfully. However, do ensure that you do not have any serious physical problem, especially in the ankles and knees. Previous trekking experience in the high altitude areas can be of great benefit to you; your body becomes very much familiar with the atmosphere. Exercising few weeks before the trek can be good; it brings your body in proper shape and size. However, it is not mandatory to have few trekking experiences and exercise. Making all the way to the base camp of Annapurna isn't so tough. Throughout the trek, take plenty of time for acclimatization, rest, and go slowly. Also, you need to be careful to remain hygienic and eat hygienic.

Food and Accommodation

Throughout the trek, you shall get pancakes, chapatti, toast, eggs, etc. with tea or coffee for breakfast. You can have Dal Bhat, potatoes, chapatti, spaghetti, etc. for lunch. The most pervasive item that you shall find in every menu is Dal Bhat. Dal Bhat is the combination of rice, lentil, and varieties of green vegetables, meat, Papadh, and salad. The most interesting part of having Dal Bhat is that no matter how many times you ask for additional item (despite some item), you shall not be charged extra for such extra item. In Nepal, it is a practice that you can eat Dal Bhat until you feel filled. Checking out the cost of Dal Bhat is also the best way to know how expensive the teahouse particular teahouse is. It is recommend to have Dal Bhat throughout your trek.

There are plenty of teahouses established in the route of Annapurna Base Camp Hike at regular interval. It is to be noted that as you gain altitude and ascend higher and higher, the kind of facilities that these teahouses offer you with become limited to most basic ones. Similar is the case with the food item; as you ascend higher and higher, you shall have lesser and lesser varieties of food items. Thus, you have to be mentally prepared and ready to accept and adapt in these conditions.

Extra Info

Travel Insurance is mandatory for all customers who looking to travel in Nepal with the Mountain Hiking & Trekking .The Travel Insurance must cover both the evacuation and medical cost

There are many insurance companies that offer travel insurance services over the internet. You can choose from a wide variety of insurance companies as per your convenience. Especially when it comes to trekking in Nepal, there is always a narrow chance of minor health issues, injuries and most importantly – altitude sickness.

It is essential that you prefer an insurance rule that covers the cost of the helicopter rescue from the mountains in case of main accidents and delicate mountain sickness (AMS). through such great cases of an emergency evacuation, a helicopter service is the only way out of the mountains. This includes a rescue team for both – ground evacuation and rescue. Which is why we need your travel insurances to cover the cost of helicopter services and evacuation from the Himalayas

It is forever recovered to be safe than apologetic.

Before you plan your trip with Mountain Hiking & Trekking do make sure that your travel insurance covers all the costs mentioned above from a reliable company.
