 with Everest Base Camp Trek
Your trekking starts after your arrival at Lukla (2,840 m) via the flight from Kathmandu. You shall meet your guide and porter(s) here and start your trek off to Phakding. Trekking from Phakding takes you to Namche Bazar—one of the largest Sherpa settlements in this region. You can expand your knowledge of the Sherpa history by visiting the nearby Sherpa museum. You can also spend the acclimatization day by exploring the nearby villages, monasteries, and valleys. Via Tengboche (3,860 m), Pheriche (4,280 m), Lobuche (5,020 m), Gorakshep (5,170 m), you shall reach all the way to the Everest Base Camp. The Mt. Everest looks so close that you would wonder if you could touch it with your hand outstretched. From there, you shall return back Gorakshep to stay overnight. Next day, early in the morning you shall ascend to Kalapatthar to view the most staggering view of sunrise. When the fresh rays of sun hit the mountains, you shall be arrested for a while. Returning back to Gorakshep, you shall trek towards Dingboche, which is at 6-7 hours walking distance. Via Chukkung, you shall trek to the Island Peak base camp. Next day, you shall ascend to the top of the Island Peak. You shall again enjoy the panoramic view of mountains and landscape from the top. Then, you shall descend down to the base camp. Via Pangboche/Tengboche, you shall retrace your steps back to Namche Bazar. Via Manju, Phakding, you shall arrive at Lukla. Your guide and porter(s) shall part away from here, and you might enjoy having some celebration with them for the successful completion of trek and climbing. Catching a flight, you shall return back to Kathmandu.

At the top of the Island Peak
The top of the Island Peak offers you panoramic views of several mountains including Lhotse (8,501 m), Nuptse (7,879 m), Lhotse Shar (8,383 m), Lhotse Central (8,410 m), Makalu (8,475 m), Baruntse (7,129 m), Amadablam (6,812 m) etc. You shall feel as if you’ve conquered a mini-Everest, and as you step your feet at the top of the peak, everything looks inviting and exciting, the valleys, the mountains surrounding and soaring high in the sky, the route you made through, and the sky up overhead. Your strenuous climb over the ridge, glacier, is awarded here. You might want to close your eyes, open your arms, take a deep breath, and feel the air, and everything this place has to offer you.

This is a day for acclimatization. We have a fine walk around the valley to adjust with thin air. Namche Bazaar is known as the gateway to the Everest. We will take you to a museum too on the same day. There you can see the traditional custom of Sherpa peoples. Besides, a fine view of the Everest and other mountains can be overviewed from this place. Overnight at Guest House, inclusive of breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 06 Trek to Tengboche (3860M) - 4 hrs –Lodge (B/L/D)
We'll be trekking today in the direction of Tengboche, home of the largest gompa monastery in the Khumbu region. Exquisite views of Tawache, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku are found here! The trekking is getting serious at this point.

Day 07 Trek to Pheriche (4280M) - 5 hrs –Lodge (B/L/D)
another standout of the Khumbu region. A small hospital run by the Himalayan Trekking Association located here has, in past decades, been a critical resource for the safety of trekkers from around the globe, as well as local populations. The Sherpa who make Pheriche their home are largely yak herders and farmers, and our route will allow us to peek in on a charming slice of rural life.

Day 08 Trek to Lobuche (5020M) - 4 hrs –Lodge (B/L/D)
This day our adventure brings over craggy mountain terrain to Lobuche, a small settlement with amazing views of Mt. Lobuche, Mt. Pumari and the Nuptse. Prepare to snuggle up for a cold night, as we are now almost three miles above sea level and the evenings can be downright chilly!

Day 09 Trek to Gorakshep (5170M) & Trek to Everest Base Camp – 6/7 hrs –Lodge (B/L/D)
Gorekshep: Altitude: 5,180m/16,994ft at Gorekshep and 5364m/17598 at EBC Distance of walking: Approx of 15 Km- 6 to 8 hours
First walking from Lobuche onward to Gorekshep is easier. Hiking from Gorekshep to Everest Base Camp is mostly straightforward; the trail wound in and out, rocky dunes and moraine, little ups and downs along the lateral moraine of the Khumbu Glacier before eventually stepping out onto the glacier itself. Explore this wonderful part of this amazing Himalayan glacier surroundings, visit the Khumbu icefall etc and enjoy your most auspicious time with making best photos and videos. If this happens to be an event of the expedition seasons, you would likely to see the climbers who had their temporary climbing set up at base camp with their tented camps; it even looks the base camp colorful.Late afternoon, return back to Gorekshep and overnight.

Day 10 Trek to Kalapather (5364M) & back to Dingboche- 6/7 hrs –Lodge (B/L/D)
From the EBC it's a rocky, challenging climb in cold, thin air to Kalapather. Your reward for this hard work, however, is one of the finest panoramic views of the Himalayas to be found! The stone huts of Dingboche, a historic summer village, await. Relish the views of Makalu in the distance, knowing that we start climbing training tomorrow!

Day 11 Trek to Chukung (4743M) - 2/3 hrs (Climbing Training) –Lodge (B/L/D)
As we make our way to Chukung, climbing training commences. It is possible to make the Island Peak summit with no prior climbing experience (assuming sufficient physical fitness), but having past climbs under your belt will make you a stronger and more confident climber. You'll enjoy the summit more if you aren't quite so anxious about the actual climbing! Staff will give you hands-on training on the use of implements like the ice axe and climbing boot, and demonstrate moving up and down on ropes.

Travle insurance

Travel Insurance is mandatory for all customers who looking to travel in Nepal with the Mountain Hiking & Trekking .The Travel Insurance must cover both the evacuation and medical cost
There are many insurance companies that offer travel insurance services over the internet. You can choose from a wide variety of insurance companies as per your convenience. Especially when it comes to trekking in Nepal, there is always a narrow chance of minor health issues, injuries and most importantly – altitude sickness.

It is essential that you prefer an insurance rule that covers the cost of the helicopter rescue from the mountains in case of main accidents and delicate mountain sickness (AMS). through such great cases of an emergency evacuation, a helicopter service is the only way out of the mountains. This includes a rescue team for both – ground evacuation and rescue. Which is why we need your travel insurances to cover the cost of helicopter services and evacuation from the Himalayas

It is forever recovered to be safe than apologetic.

Before you plan your trip with Mountain Hiking & Trekking do make sure that your travel insurance covers all the costs mentioned above from a reliable company.
