Everest base camp (EBC) trek is the most popular trekking destination in Nepal which is widely desired by trekking enthusiasts across the world. It is a lifetime adventure that takes you through lush green forest, passing several villages inhabited by Sherpas, crossing rivers and streams via suspension bridges, trekking beside Mani Walls, chortens, prayer flags, prayer wheels, witnessing the breath-taking views of mountains. March to May, and September to November are the best months of the year to do this trek; with October encountering the highest number of trekkers in the year. The
Everest base camp distance ranges throughout 62 kilometres (38.58 miles) with altitude as low as 2,800 meter to as high as 5,545m.
As you begin this trek, you shall pass through several villages inhabited by Sherpas; and when you reach Namche Bazar, you shall find a Sherpa museum there. This trek gives you plenty of time to explore the cultural profile of Sherpa people, as you shall have plenty of time for acclimatization. Acclimatization is the key to any highland trekking; it lets your body adapt in the high altitude areas that are short in oxygen content in the air. Though this trek doesn't require you to have an athletic physique to complete this trek successfully, your body needs to be in moderate fitness that is able to tolerate long hours of walking for some days continuously. Also, ensure that you do not have any problems associated with any part of the body that can directly affect your trekking, such as your ankles and bones.

The
trek route of Everest base camp starts from Lukla and continues via Phakding, Namche Bazar, Tyangboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Gorakshep, and ultimately arriving at the Everest Base Camp; then, you shall retrace you step back via Gorakshep, Pheriche, Namche Bazar, Phakding, Lukla, reaching the Kathmandu Valley, ultimately. It is a 16 days itinerary that our experienced and expert members have crafted assuming your preference. Below is the EBC trek route outlined for your reference.
Kathmandu (1,350m)-Lukla (2,800m)-Phakding (2,652m)-Namche Bazar (3,440m)-Tyangboche (3,870m)-Dingboche (4,400m)-Locuche (4,900m)-Gorakshep (5,180m)-Everest Base Camp (5,364m)-Gorakshep (5,180m)-Kalapatthar (5,545m)-Pheriche (4,320m)-Namche Bazar (3,440m)-Phakding (2,652m)-Lukla (2,800m)-Kathmandu (1,350m)
After your arrival in Kathmandu, our representative shall receive you from the airport and take you to your hotel. After you rest, you can go for shopping, and we shall be discussing about the trek in the late afternoon. The next day, you shall fly to Lukla, which shall take about 30 minutes. You shall meet with your guide and porters there and start the first trekking mission to Phakding. Via the Chaurikharka Village, trekking along the Dudhkoshi River, you shall reach to Phakding. Next day, after breakfast, you shall march off to Namche Bazar. Crossing the Dudhkoshi River, making through pine forest, passing the Mojo Village, entering the Sagarmatha National Park, walking beside Mani Walls, via Jorsale, you shall reach all the way to Namche Bazar crossing the river via the Hillary Suspension Bridge. You shall spend an additional day at Namche Bazar for acclimatization; you can spend this time exploring the nearby monastery, museum, and valleys.

Next day, after descending for a while, crossing the river, you shall ascend uphill via the forested trail to reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche offers you the magnificent views of Mt. Nuptse, Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Kwangde Peak, and Thamserku. This place also boasts the location of Tyangboche Monastery, which is one important monastery of the Everest region. Descending through the dense forest full with rhododendron, passing Deboche, crossing the Imja Khola, leaving the Pangboche Village, you shall arrive all the way to Dingboche. Next day, you shall spend an extra day at Dingboche. Then the
EBC trek shall pass through Dungla Village, making several ups and downs in the rugged path reaching all the way to Lobuche. Gorakshep is the next destination in the
trek route of Everest base camp. Via Gorakshep, you shall make to the
Everest Base Camp. Next day, early in the morning, you shall climb to Kalapatthar; the top offers the most staggering panoramic views of mountain vistas, landscape and valleys. Throughout the
Everest base camp distance, you shall have plenty of opportunity to bag some of the most phenomenal experiences of your lifetime. After that, you shall descend back to Gorakshep, and via Pheriche, Namche Bazar, Phakding, Lukla, return all the way back to the Kathmandu Valley.
