Cost
The Annapurna circuit trek cost varies in terms of season and the way you do it. If you do the trek in the off-season, you might not be charged a lot. However, in the high season, you might be charged quite a considerable amount. Though you can do this trek alone, you might feel lost when you see the soaring mountains; you might want to know the names of the mountains you see and the villages you stay at. Further, you might have to be unnecessarily worried about the food and accommodation you need to have throughout your trek.
Best time to go
The weather during the winter season can be extremely cold at Thorong La Pass. There shall be frequent snowfalls, winds, and sunshine. However, this is also the best time to witness the beauty of a snowy landscape and experience the real life in Annapurna region. During this season, since the people in the highland migrate to the low land, there shall be the only handful of teahouses open; however, since there are lots of teahouses throughout the trekking route at an even distance, you shall not be super-worried about the chance of availability of accommodation. If you happen to be in the end of the December, you might get the chance to celebrate the Tamu Loshar festival. This is one of the important festivals of Gurung communities.  However, the days are longer and the weather is warm from March to May. You shall get plenty of opportunities to view the panoramic views of landscape and snow-capped mountain ranges.

October is the busiest month, and you shall encounter with several fellow trekkers. Trekking in a busy trail isn’t what everybody prefers. Whereas, some other do not feel secure to trek on the trail with no any mark of the human. If you do not like to trek in a busy route, either you might have to choose another less popular trekking destination or do this trek in another month. Another bad part of trekking in the high season is that the teahouses charge quite a high rate for accommodation and food. Thus, if you don’t mind few crowd, October is the answer for Annapurna circuit-best time to go.
How to trek?
If you want to get plenty of time to enjoy the trek, it is better not to go solo. Hiring a guide and porter personally is fine, but you might be concerned if you get the really registered guide. To avoid from being played fool, it is suggested that you go via a trekking agency. The best part of getting through such trekking agency is that, first, you get the quality guide and porter, and shouldn’t be worried about the cost and your bargaining power. The guide shall arrange your accommodation and food. However, do not choose an international trekking agency for any kind of trek in Nepal; it only increases the cost. These international trekking agencies also have to make proper coordination with Nepalese agencies and guides/porters, which only increases the number of middlemen to be paid to. Thus, choose an established trekking agency from Nepal.
Annapurna trek falls under the moderate level of trekking difficulty, and thus, you aren’t required to have any extraordinary physical fitness to do this trek successfully. Having a physically fit body that can make through several highs and lows in the hilly and mountainous region, walking for few hours in a row is sufficient to do this trek. If you have prior trekking experience in hilly and mountain areas, it can be quite advantageous to you. However, if you do some exercise few weeks before the trek, it can also be very effective for you.
