Trekking in Everest Region
The  area around Khumbu is commonly called the "Everest Region". It is also known as the home of Sherpa people and the mysterious Yeti. This trek comprises not only the Everest Base camp but also Namche Bazaar, Lukla, Tyangboche and the whole Solukhumbu, which are at the lap of looming Mount Everest, the highest peak in the world and also the mount Ama Dablam. The trek to Khumbu area is not only famous for trekking and expeditions but also for the Sherpa culture. One can enjoy and learn Sherpa culture very closely by visiting this region. The complete trek starts from Jiri to Lukla. Flying to Lukla is the best option for those with limited time. Most of the flights depends on weather condition. However, the helicopter service and chartered flights are also available on request. The Everest Trek is one of the most thrilling adventure treks for excitement-seekers. There are several trekking routes within the Khumbu region like Kalapatthar, Gokyo Lake, Everest Base Camp and Syangbochhe trek.

  • Classic EBC Gokyo Trekking
    Classic Everest base camp trekking begins at Jiri (1905m).The trail heads eastward through the lovely forested hills of Solu and over the 3,530m Lamajura Pass. Monasteries and uninterrupted mountain views lie ahead. The portion of the trekking from Jiri to Lukla is often quiet and therefore much better trekking trail. We cross the Lamjura La and Thaksindo before descending towards the raging river of the Dudh Kosi. We follow the “Dudh Koshi river” north through terraced hillsides and small villages to join the main Everest trail below Lukla.
    From here leading you to the home of the legendary Sherpa people, based at the foothills of the highest peak in the world, Mt. Everest at 8,848meters. Classic Everest base camp – gokyo ri trekking follows the highly praised trekking route through the Dudh Koshi to its source the Gokyo Lake which is to the west of the Everest Base Camp, giving you the benefit to summit Gokyo Peak (5,483meters) offering a fantastic panoramic view of Cho Oyo, Everest and Makalu.
