It encircles the Annapurna Massif, crossing Thorong La [5416 m.] the highest pass on this trek. The trek begins at Besisahar in the Marsyangdi river valley after a drive of about six hours from Kathmandu. Along the trek, the beautiful mountain scenery and fascinating village life will keep you enthralled, day after day. A moderate to challenging trek which sometime requires climbing up and down the steep mountain path. Annapurna Jomsom trekking, considered one of the best trekking/hiking trails in the world, is the classic long distance trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal. The trek is one of contrasts between the green, terraced farmland of the Marshyangdi valley and the semi-arid environs of Lower Mustang. The two areas are separated by the Thorong La Pass (5416m), which we must cross on a long day, to reach the sacred site of Muktinath. The temple complex is a pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists and when seen from here the sunrise on Dhaulagiri is particularly striking. After Thorong- la pass (5,416m), the Trek descends to popular Muktinath temple and ends at Jomsom following Kagbeni. From Jomsom we will fly to Pokhara.
